Grapplechase
A downloadable game for Windows
Gameplay
Shoot 100 targets as fast as possible. The timer starts when you shoot the first target. Your character's power (e.g. Railgun charge speed) scales with each target you shoot.
- Orange targets = No bonus
- Pink targets = Bonus Max Grapple Distance and Max Energy Sword Distance
- Green targets = Bonus Railgun Charge Speed
Difficulty
Choose a difficulty by shooting the colored orbs at the spawn location.
Controls
- WASD --- Movement (relative to the player's camera)
- Space --- Jump (hold to jump higher)
- Left-click --- Use your weapon (see weapon types below)
- Right-click --- Hold to grapple, release to let go
- Mouse 4 --- Dash
- Shift --- Slide
- F --- Fire a Personal Grappleable (a point that you can grapple to). This grappleable will continue moving until you tether to it or press F again to fire a new Personal Grappleable.
Weapon: Railgun
- Hold Left-click to charge, release when charge is full to fire
Weapon: Energy Sword
- Left-click a target within range to teleport to it
Controls while Grappled
- WASD --- Movement (relative to the player's camera)
- Space --- Retract grapple tether
- Shift --- Extend grapple tether
- F --- "Yank" yourself toward the grappled object (automatically releases the grapple)
Tips for Grappling:
- Combine W with A/D for maximum acceleration.
- Use F (Yank) while grappling to gain additional speed before releasing to cover long distances.
MISC Controls
- R --- Reset game. (Only works after shooting at least 1 target).
- Escape --- Exit game.
